where are you losing it?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! I Have lost a total of 47 lbs since the start of my pre-op diet in June. My pants that I was squeezing into 47 lbs heavier I can still wear, but, they are lose in my legs, butt, hips, upper body has lost, but, my waist is pretty much the same, my pants are still kinda tight in my waist! I hope I start losing there soon so I can go down sized!!!! I am a pear shape body, so I carry mosy of my weight in my belly, hips, butt ad legs. I never took measurements, maybe I should have. How are you doing!?

So far, I have lost a couple inches everywhere, such as in the arms, thighs, waist, hips, and breasts (sigh). I am a quintessential pear shape also. I can't wait to lose a little more in the hips so I can fit into my smaller jeans.

Well, you could always start taking measurements now. :)

I've lost 40 lbs and also still wearing my old pants. They are basically looser all over. I did take measurements and I'm losing equally all over for a total of 20 inches so far (7 wks). I bought a new bra yesterday and have gone from a 40 band to a 36. If I were you I'd start measuring now.

Losing top to bottom...Pear shaped too. So I'm gonna have a tiny head yippie. It's never too late to start taking your measurements... so you won't have the starting point (I don't either...had lost 30# b 4 I started) But it is still nice to see the progress.. especially during a stall.

Thanks guys! I am definately starting my measurements! I feel my clothes bigger all over except my waist! I keep telling myself maybe my belly is still alittle swollen from surgery! Maybe! LOL! I hate the dreaded stall! But, I hear when you stall you lose inches, so we shall see!!!! ; )

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
