I miss her already...wth is wrong with me?!

I was all excited a few hours ago about taking off on my Sexy Mexi vacation for my sleeve. I drop the baby off in 2 hours and I am so sad all of a sudden. I just want her to sit on the couch with me and snuggle. I love her so much. I have been away from her before. She is going to stay with her teacher so she is in great hands. Why do I have a lump in my throat about being apart?!

UHHHH absolutely nothing is the matter with you besides being a caring parent! My boys are no longer small babies but the minute I left 2 weeks ago to go visit a friend overnight I felt guilty and I just wanted to be able to reach out and touch them. WHen I went for surgery it was about 100% worse because I knew there are always risks, but you are going to be fine, she is going to be great and you will be back together soon. Try to stay as relaxed and focused on how you are starting a new chapter and how great you are going to feel when the weight starts to drop off. Your a caring mama and there is nothing to question about that!

I know you are right. I am making sure I have everything ready to go now. She is with her teacher and as soon as I dropped her off she was on Cloud 9. I just need to pull it together and remember that I am doing this for both of us. Thank you so much for helping me through this.

No worries- focus on you and you will be back before you know it. Congratulations and keep us updated.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I was worried about leaving my kids for surgery too, but everything will be fine and she'll be back in your arms soon.

I cried when I left my two kids too. Its scary to go to another country for surgery!! Dr,Aceves sleeved me July 13th. Everyone there is so nice. Good luck ans keep us posted! Cathi

I have stayed busy most of the night either packing, cleaning, or re-packing. I took a ridiculously long hot shower and feel a lot better. I have to be up at 430 AM so I really should get some sleep but I don't see it happening any time soon. Oh well, I guess I will sleep on the plane!

I'll make sure to update everyone as soon as I can!

I felt the exact same way! I also went to 'Sexy Mexi'!!!

Guess what though? This is the best gift you can give her AND yourself. You will be back with her in no time at all.

Good luck and just try to relax and focus on your recovery soon.smile.gif

I am only going an hr away for my surgery and I tear up just thinking about being away from my son for 2 days. I can't imagine! You are doing what is best, stay strong! Your a great mom :)

I am in the plane on the final leg into San Diego. I love the Internet on planes. I thought you would all get a kick out of e fact that I am watching spongebob squarepants. Lol!

Ugh, I'm soooooo glad those days are over for me! But I understand exactly how you feel. . . you'll be fine. . it's just the jitters. Good luck and as mentioned earlier concentrate on you now and getting this surgery under way.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you! That's how mommys feel when they are separated from their children. You are doing a wonderful thing for yourself AND for her and you will be around to snuggle for many years as a result. I used to watch Sesame Street when mine were not around...can you guess my age?! Love the Sponge Bob tidbit! You'll do great!
