I am an apple, I hate my chin!

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone!

I am shaped like several of you with it all in the middle and great legs, no hips. I am only 5'2, 245#. I have the worst time with pants too 'cause I look like I am wearing a tent on the bottom just to get the waist to fit.

So, I thought I would share 2 funniest predicaments of being this shape:

I had a skirt once that was loose in the waist, so I wore a pair of spandex shorts under it to create some friction....this was no ordinary skirt, it was so cool, I had to try to sport it more than once. Well, the shorts worked to keep the skirt up, but I couldn't feel the skirt through the shorts-so when the skirt fell down one day, in the middle of the Bigo O Tires parking lot, I didn't even feel it going down. There is was at my ankles, with no butt or hips to catch it.....I thought I played it off and pulled it up so fast that nobody noticed, and then my husband yells from at least 2 cars away, "Your skirt fell down!" Thanks dear.

Another time, I ran out my front door excited about something, right behind my freind, the screen door shut on my big full skirt and I ran right out of it! Needless to say we were laughing on the ground forever!

Just thought I would share some apple catastrophies with you.......

Too funny, Zoe!

I am also an apple. I have great legs! lol, trying to keep positive about the parts I can. I'm loosing all over, even in my face. Unfortunately my extra weight is upper body and tummy. Which of course isn't as healthy as all you pears! I'm jogging now which hopefully will help expedite the weight loss! Good luch to all us fruits!

Zoe, don't we just love the support our hubbies give us!!! Sounds exactly like something my DH would do.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
