Hey, I am in The OP as well. I was banded back in 12/10. I initiallly lost but wss basically too tight and was malnourished. I then got loosened and immediately ate everything in sight! I am now in the process if starting over and doing it right. Dr.Cywes is my Dr. and he is great.

I am seeing Dr Cywes as well. My wife and I go for our 5th weigh in today (out of 6 for our insurance). We actually see Dr Cywes in July to wrap things up and submit our paper work. We are both going for the Banded-Plication.

I had my first fill on the 25th. 3cc in my bad and didn't feel any restrictions but experienced being stuck for the first time. I was eating chicken and...ate too fast. Wow what a nasty feeling. Getting my next fill on Tuesday.

Ha, I am from Jacksonvill Beach and i am thinking about getting the lap band. I am talking with Dr. Habell from University of Florida. I am kind of scared at the whole idea but tired of looking in the mirrow and not feeling good about myself.

How did Ur Appt go??

Our last 3 appointments went well. We just had our group meeting with Dr. Cywes on the 25th, and they should have sent in our info for insurance approval the on the 26th. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it does not take too long to get approved.

I have a quick question for anyone who used Dr Cywes or Dr Pinnar...

Have you ever had any problems with the staff at there office????

My wife and I went for our group appointment on July 25th. After the appointment we asked Karma when our info was going to be filed with insurance..we were told "tomorrow" (which would have been the 26th).

On the 27th I called UMR to make sure our information had been faxed and received. UMR had NOTHING in there system about receiving our info. I called the Doctor's office and was directed to Karma's voicemail, so I left a message. I called back and was transfered to Jaime's voicemail (the woman who does insurance), again I left a message.

Monday July 30th I recieved no call backs from the office. I called Jaime again and was told se was out of the office.

Tuesday July 31st I call and actually get ahold of Jaime. She tells me that she is submitting our information that day!

Today (August 6th) I called UMR to verify they recieved the info for my wife and myself. They are still showing no record of any information faxed to them. I called Jaime again and got here "I am out of the office message"..I called back and asked for the office manager..I was transfered to Rita (I think her name was)..of course I get HER voicemail  I left a detailed message and asked that she call me back....the office is now cloased and NOBODY called me back!!!

I am getting rather frustrated with the office staff!! Has anyone else had these problems dealing with them???

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
