I've lost 30lbs or 18% in 5 weeks. GL to you!

Is that 18% of your total weight or 18% of excess to lose? My 18% of excess would only be 17 lbs so I hope I am down more than that!! 18% of total weight would be almost 40. Hope it's more like that!!

I lost 30 lbs in the first 4 weeks after surgery. That would be 12.5% of my weight at the time; or 28% of the excess weight I want to lose. We are all so different, I'm not sure we can compare. I think you might want to factor in the very common stall that often starts between weeks 3 and 5. I have not lost 1 pound since July 1st; that's a 3 week stall so far. I need to increase my exercise...ugh! And if you're about my size maybe this info helps (I am 5'4" and more of a big-belly girl than a big-bottom girl: I went from a size 22/24 to an 18 already; some 16s fit, but a 14 is still too small.) As of today I've lost 5" in my waist. Yay!!

I don't know what I weighed when I went into surgery because I wouldn't look at the scale. I looked at a doctor's report from when I started the two-week pre-surgery diet and I've lost 39 lbs. My surgery was 33 days ago. Good luck and remember don't get discouraged if you get to a stall about week 3. I did and it was just my body adjusting. I am already wearing some XL clothes instead of plus sizes, so when you shop for a wedding outfit, buy something that gives and will shrink with you.

I'm at almost 6 weeks and I've lost 41% of my excess weight. That's percentage of excess weight lost, not total weight.

I'm a little over 9 weeks out.

At 6 weeks, I had lost 27.5% of my excess weight following surgery (Goal weight is 135, Day before surgery weight was 222, I am 5'6").

Excess weight % is going to vary because everyone has a different goal weight/BMI. Mine is at the lower-end of normal.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
