It sucked, but it's over!

Recommended Posts

So my stall started at week 2 and lasted almost a month. I'm on the heavier side and expected quicker weight loss as a result. My high weight was 422, pre-op 408, and I gained 10 pounds Water weight in the hospital. Yuck. I quickly dropped to 387 two weeks post op and stayed there. For almost a month! Luckily, I took the boards advice and kept measurements. In my 4 week stall I lost 33 inches and that's ok.

However, I am super pleased to announce that, on weigh in today, I lost 11 lbs last week! Yay! My stall is over!

I guess I just want those that are struggling with stalls to know that it does end and you do lose inches. Just stick with it and be patient.

Thank you! Your message is such a relief to me! I lost 29 lbs in the first 6 weeks including preop diet time...but have been at a stall for 10 days. Today I lost two of the lbs I gained back, I hope that is my new start in the right direction. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I will keep losing. So far my progress hasn't been much more than any other "diet" I've been on. I wish time would fly...the proof is in the (sf) pudding!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
