I'm stuffed!

Recommended Posts

I just ate most of a greek yogurt and half of an Atkins Protein Shake over the past 3-4 hours and I'm SO FULL. I can't express how happy this makes me. I feel like I'll actually be able to lose weight and keep it off this time and it's the most hopeful I've been since I got fat in the first place. I could cry. This feeling is worth giving up burritos and lasagna. I'm shocked to feel so good today when I was so miserable just a few days ago. Now if I could just get rid of this dizziness. Haha.

Good for you! Yes, the sleeve really works - especially once you move on to more solid food. There will be more ups and downs emotionally, but I am really happy for you that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel today. My exhaustion / dizziness stuck around for several weeks. For me, the calorie defecit was hard to handle. But now I feel great and I am so happy every day that I have the sleeve!

Wishing you the best---

YAY FOR YOU!!

I too was really dizzy in the beginning. MY bp was getting regulated and I was anemic. I still get lightheaded and feel as if I will pass out if I get up too fast or bend over sometimes! It is WEIRD!!

Just take it easy if you feel that way for a bit and you will be o.k. it just takes our bodies time to adjust.

Kelly :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
