seeking NY doctor to perform sleeve on 32 bmi

Hi-

Im hoping some of you can help me out....Im looking to find out if Dr.'s will perform the sleeve surgery on someone with a BMI of 32. I 'm pretty sure insurance will not cover it so I'll need to use a Dr. that will be fair is his price. Any suggestions? i live in the Long Island area but am willing to travel within 2-3 hours. Any insight is greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks

If you are willing to travel to Dallas, Dr. Nick Nicholson (www.nicholsonclinic.com) will do it on any BMI over 30. You are right that insurance won't cover it, but his self pay sleeve price is extremely competitive. $12,200. He has been on Good Morning America and people travel to him from all across the US to have their surgery with him, so he is used to making the out of town issue easy to cope with. AND - he's just plain awesome.
