I am new here. I just got my date for June 9th and I am wondering if anyone else is scheduled around the same time. If so and you would like a support buddy let me know.

This is my first post, but I have been reading all the wonderful information that you guys have made available. Very informative!!

Hi..thanks for the reply. Not nervous at all. I didn't have to go through counseling (self pay) so it has all been rather fast, which keeps me excited. Are you nervous? Where are you having your surgery?

My surgery will be in Albuquerque, NM.... I just found out yesterday that they were going to offer it here - I was going to fly to Ft. Worth,Texas.... That's when it hit me-yesterday that this whole thing is going to happen- thus I got a little scared - like what am I doing - but I hear a lot of people ask that question prior to surgery!!

Where is your surgery? How much time are you taking off?

Having my surgery in New Orleans. I am taking 7 days off work (I have a desk job).

Do you have a date yet? I think you will do fine; keep the possitive attitude. Look at it as a new beginning!

Where are you having your surgery? Of course you will be fine. You have to wake up so you can become skinny :)

I am only going to take 7 days off too- I hope it's enough - I sit bend stand and run back and forth from room to room at my job..... Honestly all I have this whole year is one week of vacation - and it's a new job so I don't want to call attention to myself by taking short term leave if absence - but.... I only have one stomach!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
