Awww, I would ignore it too, it will come off, your body is probably going into the "keep everything " mode because of the few calories being taken in - maybe see if you can up those? seems funny, but I hear, that sometimes you have to eat more to loose... interesting concept :) hehe

Kudos to you.....you're doing great!!!

Denise, I had my surgery on May 9th - 11 days ago - as of yesterday I am down 58 pounds, and that includes the 37 pounds I lost on the 2 week pre op diet.

Congrats on your loss, that is awesome!

I completely agree! Having the surgery was the best thing I could have done with my life. The pains come off and on, but I say give it til your about 3 weeks and most of the pains or soreness should be gone, at least that's how it was for me :)

meggie, i gained 1.4lbs a couple days ago and it is gone now. don't know what is up with that?

i guess you body can only do the restricted calories for so long and then rebels!!

i really am not getting my Protein in as we have discussed before, but did eat more yesterday calorie wise. my dr. said just to do what i can for now!

I get to progress to pureed food next week when my nut calls, so i will have more options and will be able to do a better job! I am excited.

don't worry about the gain, it will go away. WE WILL WIN!!

Hugs,

Kelly :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
