What did I do???

O.k. I woke up yesterday a.m. and I moved wrong and I got a really sharp pain /burning sensation around my port area. It hurt all day yesterday and is still rather soar today. It is uncomfortable to sit in certain ways. Last night I was putting my sons car seat in the car and I had my knee kinda under me and I leaned forward and I got that same pain. What did I do? Any ideas on what I did to make it hurt. It has been 3 weeks since I had it done.

Hi Monimoni,

I am 5 weeks out and have had a few sharp pains when I have moved wrong and when I tried to work out in the yard for too long but your sounds a little more like maybe you might have torn a stitch that holds the port in place. A call to your surgeon might not be a bad idea. At the very least it might calm your fears.

Good Luck and Take Care of Yourself,

Kathy

I agree. Your surgery was recent enough that you may not yet be completely healed. You might have irritated a still-forming scar or something. It's probably nothing, but a call to your doctor is probably a good idea.
