Is 40g of protein a day enough?

Recommended Posts

I do drink Protein drinks. I bought this brand I found at costco called Premier chocolate, if you have a Costco by you, and it has 30g of protein in it and only 160 calories. It tastes good too. Here is some info on it if you want to see what it looks like http://www.premiernu...tein_shake.html I paid aroun $24 for it there but you can buy it online too. As far as I know I have only seen the chocolate flavor at my Costco here in Des Moines, Iowa.

Programs are all so different! My Doc/Nut say drink those Protein Drinks a long as you like. We are supposed to have one every day during the losing phase... getting Protein from other high quality sources is good too... but if you can't Drink it!

Yea. Very much agree.

Mine says no to liquid calories after mushies. Also they say meals, not single items foods. Funny, huh. I say if I could eat more than 3 ounces of food at a time, their theory would be great. I would LOVE to be able to get all of my calories in "meals" and no liquid. And if I ever get to the point of being able to take even 4 ounces at a time, maybe I'll give it a shot.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
