The countdown is on! I am less than 24 hrs from becoming sleeved. Had a dream last night that the surgeon came to talk to me and asked if I was ready. I said yes without any reservation. I'm taking that as a good sign that I am : ) this day can go either way, very long or very short. Either way tomorrow at 8 am it is. Again I am so thankful for this site and all the information that has been posted. I feel less anxious. Wish me luck!

Totally agree. I'm getting sleeved tomorrow too. Today has been the "get things in order" day. Cleaning, doing laundry and other stuff. As I know sure as the sun rises and sets my hubby won't be able to do everything , so I have given him a headstart. No dirty clothes or dishes. Floors swept and mopped. Clean everything. So he can do other things and not worry about all of that. He decided to take two weeks off with me. So he will be my nurse for a few days. LOL.....Today so far for me has been very productive. Good Luck to us all.:D

Aw that is so sweet of your husband. Mine is taking off tomorrow and Tuesday. I have been getting things done for 2 weeks like cleaning out the garage food shopping for the family ordered and received my Protein packets Vitamins, etc.....laundry yesterday. My oldest child is home for spring break so he will be able to help me if I need him. At least that is what I am counting on. Lol. Where are you having your surgery done? I am 8 am also

I'm having my surgery done in Ocala, Fla. At Ocala Regional Medical Center. My Doc is Dr. Jawad. I'm scheduled for 7:00 am but have to figure in last minute things. So maybe like 8:00 or 8:30 am. Give or take. He is more excited than I am I believe. LOL....

That's great! Best of luck to both of us tomorrow. Hopefully we can track our progress together and be thrilled to be a good loser. Lol. I have to be there at 6 am but surgery is at 8. Fingers crossed and many prayers that our surgeons are at there best tomorrow : )

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
