Besides Being Hunter S. Thompson's and Steve Forbes Birthday, it is also the day I will be banded.

I am a 31 year old guy, whose life has been on hold for way too long.

I got my approval from my new insurance company (I switched from Aetna who seems to hate the Lap Band).

I am a little nervous, but not too bad. I try to focus on the positive change in my life this will be. A short negative in exchange for a long positive. Also knowing Morphine will be involved helps.

Congrats on the ins approval and date. I will keep by fingers crossed for a smooth surgery and speedy recovery. Keep us updated.
