Hi all,

I have been lurking here for the last few weeks, registered yesterday for the forum so I could contribute in my own way to this great source of knowledge and experience.

I leave for San Diego in about 12 hours for my sleeve in Tijuana. I weighed 368.8 a week ago but last time I weighed myself on Friday I was at 360 thanks to the pre op diet of Fluids(sigh). I have to say I am aprrehensive about this surgery. Hoping that I don't regret what I am about to do. I doubt I will but you never know till it's done.

I have read some great success stories here and hope to add mine down the line. but for now just gonna take it one day at a time.

I don't have any questions right now since all of mine have been answered here and with a few friends who had the surgery 6 months back, but I am sure if I think hard some will come. I find it so hard to actually believe that in a few weeks when I can start eating again I will be pushing a plate back barely touched and stating I can't eat anoth bite!!!

Can't wait to get back into clothes I have kept in the closet for years assuming I will get back in the,

Can't wait to shop at a regular store and they have my size!

Can't wait to go swimming without a shirt and not be thinking everyone is looking at me and laughing.

Can't wait to sit on a chair and not have to check it out first to make sure it will hold me

I could go on but you get the idea....but as far as I am concerned it is all going to happen!

Hi there,

I'm Angela joining you from the UK.

I will have been sleeved for 2 weeks tomorrow.

Like you said, taking it 1 day at a time, no pressure, just concentrating on feeling well and getting back to normal. I haven't weighed myself yet as I don't want to start the cycle of jumping on and off the scales all the time. I can tell I am loosing though !!!

I honestly had NO POST OP PAIN, I have felt just great so far. Think positive is the motto I have followed throughout and I think that is what has helped me.

Have a safe journey, be as positive as you can manage and just think what a wonderful tool we have in our hands to help us to finally achieve our goal.

I'll keep you in my thoughts tomorrow.

Best wishes, your soon to be sleeve sister

Angela x

Good Luck to you! Sounds like you have done your research and are ready to take it on. It seems to be normal to be apprehensive of the unknown but I know you will do great!

Wishing you a smooth and quick recovery from your sleeve day tomorrow. You will do fine, no worries. You probably will get a little bit of buyers remorse, and if you do just know it doesn't last very long at all!

:D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
