Where are the two years?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody. =) I am 7 months out and now that I am on the back half of year one, I am suddenly interested in hearing from the year 2 crowd. It's kinda like the difference between freshman and sophomore year in college; year one everything and every experience is novel and thrilling, year two brings challenges because after novelty wears off, there's a lot of work and things can get complicated.

So I'm looking to hear from those who are approaching their 2nd surgiversary or have recently celebrated it. Year one was (I assume) spent losing the majority of the excess weight. What did year two bring? Did you achieve goal in year 2? What changes did your body go through? How has your eating changed? How do you maintain without gaining?

Thanks guys!

I will be 2 years out at the end of April. I can tell you that I can eat way more than I could a year ago.

It's okay. Just because I can, doesn't mean I need to. I am still not hungry, so I eat small portions even

though I know I could eat more.

I did get to goal and stayed there for over a year until this last October-November. My birthday is at the end of October and I had a lot of friends taking me to dinner and lunch. Of course they wanted to split dessert.

Then thanksgiving and Christmas. I have really been having trouble getting it off . I gained 8 lbs in 2 months

and for some reason, I am stalled out after only losing 2 of those extra lbs.

Next week should be better cause I will be able to exercise more. I pretty much eat the same things I have been eating ever since I moved to solids.

Still no hunger at 2 years??!! That is very encouraging!! Do you get that 'empty' feeling? I do, usually at dinner time, not at lunch and I could go without eating Breakfast, but I don't. I call the empty feeling my 'new hunger'. I could ignore it, but I know that I probably need to fill it. Make sense? I hope it stays this way forever!

I'm going on 10 mos and I too am curious about the 2 year mark. What about. My doc told me that skin can take 1-2 years to snap back. Are you guys finding your getting a little tighter (skin wise I mean). I don't have hanging skin.... but I can tell it doesnt fit me like it used too. Things kind of wobbel a little more... despite weight training. I'm 45.... wondering if its going to get better and if so, in what time frame.

Allles gut. I am fine, but very embarrassed that I still have Globies tom yum Soup sitting in my lounge as our post office doesn't know where to actually send it! Which is pants as we are right next to Halton camp in Buckinghamshire and they should be able to deal with this. Globie, by the time I get this stuff to you which is wrapped etc you will be a 7 stone waife!!!

Still basically thin and a bit of a piss head, I have reverted to form tbh, kids off at uni, working hard and partying whilst we still can. So all normal really!

Really happy with the outcome, still concerned about the others following through and still happy to give support. It does work people, you will get your life back.

Much love and kisses on Valentines day to all,

Jane xxxxx

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
