Hi I started taking my multi-vitamins and Calcium months before along with Biotin and collagen caps and used Nioxin Shampoo and conditioner. I have very thin hair so that was a big worry for me. I am 5 months out and haven't lost any. I also got use to drinking 3 liters a day and was walking regularly beforehand.

Eating right is a great prep ! Not only will you lose some weight you will get you body nutritionally sound. Start checking out Protein shakes and including one a day in your diet. I used mine as a Breakfast replacement. Bariatric Advantage sells a pre surgery Vitamin which would be great to help your body and get in the habit of taking Vitamins. Find an exercise you like and start adding that to your routine.

All the changes added at your pace will help you when you have the surgery so you are not having to make big changes all at once.

Take Multivitamins first. Before trying any other supplements. Just take that for about 1-2 months. Enough from your body to catch up from major operation. And after that, if your worried about your hair and skin, there's a supplement specifically made for Hair, Skin and Nails. I just forgot the name of the supplement, but I'm sure it's from Maxalife Company. It's a supplement product that can bring the health back to your body, allowing you to radiate with a glow of healthy skin, hair and nails. hope this tip helps you!

The Multi-Vitamin is paramount in my opinion. I am a horrible pill taker, wait, I WAS a horrible pill taker, but I have been taking my multi-vitamin every day for a month now, but you know what? It took me three months to get this way. Practice makes perfect. Take this time to develop good habits. Slowly start eating healthier and making better choices every day is a new day to do better by yourself. I also recommend to start taking Calcium if you aren't getting a lot in your diet, and if you are trying to decrease carbs it gets a lot harder to eat the right amount of calcium. Just a note, I also take Biotin and omega-3 fish oils.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
