Robyn - sent you your pictures lastnight. POST THEM already. :)

I can't do whatever meeting was Tue night, a co-worker from Chicago is coming to town until Thu and I've promised to play tour guide for him. I'm trying to talk him into going w/ me to see "Menopause, the Musical" but he's not showing much interest... yet... but his wife is in her upper 40s so I consider it an education process. :)

Angela-

I'm at work until 7:15.....I'll make sure and check my e-mail as soon as I get home and post them:rolleyes: .......Just kidding....can't wait to see how they look side by side and whatever neat effects you put on em'. Thanks again soooo much. I don't know why, I'm usually pretty good with computers...but when it comes to resizing pics, I just can't figure it out--no matter how hard I try.

I'll post again later....by the way, have an appt on Friday. Thanks for thinking of me;)

Robyn - my offer stands.

On the pics I didn't do anything special yet, just put them side by side for you. DH took advantage of the tax break weekend and bought me a new laptop yesterday, so I won't be able to do anything special until I get the software on this one moved over to the new one.

Thanks Angela...I'm seriously considering it:speechles

Thanks so much for the pics.....you did a great job :nervous

Here is the link to where the rest of you can look at them....I won't post them here and take up so much space.....

I can't even believe the side by side. My brain is playing such optical tricks on me;) I still don't see myself as looking that way. I'm so glad I took the before pics. It is such a measuring stick for progress along this bumpy road. The weird thing is that I tried to do that thing where you can edit a picture by "painting" over it a long time ago I think when I was 6 months post-op. I shaded out some of my stomach back then to see what I "could" possibly someday look like (just wishing, but not being serious).....the pics I took the other day are very similiar if not identical to what I wanted to someday look like. Very weird....just hard to fathom.

And here's the "morph" animation (can't attach the format type, so I'll have to do it as a zip). Sorry it's not smoother, but I'm getting tired. :notagree

Darn....I can't get it to "play" on my computer.

This is totally changing the subject....but to any of you out there that work at big companies, does your company offer you to buy discounted tickets to Steal Your Dollar City??? I just remember when I worked at Sprint in my past life, we were always offered discount tickets. If so, would any of you be willing to check into it for me? Don't need the hopper passes, as we already have tickets to the other parks...just SSC. We're leaving to go down there on Sunday.

Thanks;)

Robyn

They did when I worked at H&R Block, I THINK. Will see if current company does. Much larger company, not nearly the local roots, so I don't know if they do. If not I can call one of my old co-workers and see if I can arrange something through them.

HRB doesn't do the discounted tickets any longer, and I got confirmation from my admin that we only have discounts on "big items like cars and memberships". I'm sure you could find some discounts by googling though.

To view swf files you'll need the Flash viewer. You can get it here. Make sure that the Yahoo toolbar download is unchecked, it defaults to selected as a way to download/install it b/c most people don't know better or never check what's pre-selected.

Hey everyone! I've missed you lately I was busy with Wes's Bday last weekiend and then got sick this week. I worked Monday and most of Tuesday but with home with temp of 102 and was home til today. I had some gross flu couldn't seem to break the fever.

Robyn congrats on your weight loss and your bandiversary! You are more of an inspiration to me than you'll ever know. I talked to a friend of mine that works at op reg she went to Mexico in June to have lap band because hca wouldn't cover her even though they say they do. She had every co-morbidity but CAD. She wants to sue her insurance since they wouldn't cover.

Sounds like you are all doing good. I found out there is also a support group at the Johnson County Library The 2nd Tues of the Month at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Antioch. If we are still looking around some. I think I'll still go to SMMC though because I love Billie so much.

Sorry I ended suddenly heartland was calling to pre reg me for the 23rd.

I am interested in other support groups too. I just feel loyal to Billie since she is sticking by me so much and helping me. I also feel that we are being made to feel like we don't belong and that isn't right. We have paid our money or insurance has and we have every right to be there. I just out of stubborness refuse to be chased away. We have done nothing wrong and if we leave it's like they win and we lose. But that is my personal opinion for whatever it is worth. I'll try to post more later tonight or this weekend and get caught up. I miss you guys I feel pretty out of the loop right now......

I went to the Tuesday group at Heartline Spine and Speculity. Really liked it. Very positive with guest speakers and potential field trips. Small compared to SM. But learned some things, Will try KC bandsters at the end of the month.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
