Help with simple thing

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm total newbie. I love looking at all your weighloss ruler things showing how much you have lost and how much you have left. Can someone give me a simple "how to" so I can do it too? I had my sleeve surgery Dec 29 so I'm one week out. Thank you in advance. This looks like a great group. Smillzee

There are several free sites that you can go to get a ticker. If you google weightloss tickers you can find some that are free and others that you have to sign up for a free program to get the ticker. Hope this helps.

There is not a truly simple way to do BUT I can give you the step by step instructions I followed to get mine:

Click on your Name at the Top of the Forum

A drop down menu should appear. Click MY PROFILE

From there, you'll need to click on CHANGE SIGNATURE.

NOw, open a New Tab or New web browser window and go to www.tickerfactory.com

Make your ticker to your liking with A PIN, so you can edit it later.

Once the ticker is made and you are at the "code" page. HIghlight, and COPY the entire bBcode.

Come back here to where the Blank signature box is, and PASTE that code into the box.

Add whatever other information you'd like, and then hit SAVE CHANGES.

It will give you a Preview of your signature, if it's too your liking, it'll show up on your posts. If you don't like it, change it and save it.

If these steps do not work, contact the site administrator for further technical assistance.

In the future to edit your signature, you can just click on any of your posts that has your signature ticker on it, and you'll need to enter the PIN and edit your weight loss stats. it will auto update if you refresh the web page here.

Ohh and if you like a specific one just check the tickers that people already have. The companies seem to put their names on them. The one I am using right now is by Daisypath.

Tiffykins, This was a concise and excellent step by step process that worked perfectly for me. Thanks for sharing it. I now have a ticker and am so happy that I can track my weight loss and have this visual ticker. You are really good at giving directions! It turned up fine when I posted "my story" but not sure if it is appearing on these other posts. Hey, I'm fine with it all...Thanks again. Smillzee

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
