I had this problem too. When I talked to my doctor's PA about it she too told me to use Miralax every day for a few weeks and then as needed. That stuff works wonders!! They also told me I could take it three times a day to get things moving. It is nice because I just add it to my drink and you don't even know it is there. No cramping or anything. It really works.

I had to do a bowel prep before surgery, which is tomorrow, and had to use a the whole small container of Miralax with 32 oz bottle of gatorade or drink of my choice. That is 7 doses at once. I did not have any cramps and it move things along very nice.....currently I am clean as a whistle....(I know TMI)....heading to the hospital at 5:30 am. I will definately keep some in the house afterwards just in case.

Good luck with surgery!!!! Let us know how it goes when you can.

Yes, it might be a good idea to have some miralax, just in case. The first 4-5 weeks I was fine. The miralax has helped some.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
