WOOHOO!! Doc said I am doing Great! I got my drain out, which totally didn't hurt at all! YAY! When I got them out after my breast reduction it hurt SO BAD! Talked with the doc for some time just making sure everything I am experencing is "normal" and she says it is expect one small thing. I have been having 4 BMs a day since Saturday so she thinks I might have a bacterial infection which is actually caused in like 1% of patients from an antibotic that they gave me right after surgery! LOL We are going to give it another day or two and see. She also thinks it might be the tea so she doesn't want me to drink anymore hot tea (wasn't drinking that much anyways!)

I got moved from Clear liquids to full! YAY!! Tried a few sips of Instant Breakfast with milk and it just felt Heavy in my tummy so that was it! I made some Jello tonight and am going to try that once it sets! I just a SF hot coco with Water and see how that goes! I like the feeling of hot stuff going down, it just feels better! LOL

So all and all I'm doing really good! I ended up going into work after the appt and it was good to be back! And I'm down 15lbs since surgery!!! YAY!! I haven't even ever lost that much weight in a month before let alone a week!! But then again, I had 0 calories this week!!!

Dawn:

Congrats! It's sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I was worried too that getting the drain out was going to hurt, because I read on here that I did. My surgeon says that I read to much. I told him there is a reason I have a PhD....

When he tied me up with the stiches that I guess had been inside, that did hurt. I figure that that big ass drain just gave me another pound or so lost.

I'm on track. 15 pounds down, too. And he wants me to lose AT LEAST 20% of my excess weight in the first month, so only 7 more for that goal, but I'm hoping to get to at least 30 pounds in the first month. Clothes are already fitting better.

It sounds like you are progressing nicely. I remember them taking the drain out before I left the hospital, it didn't hurt, but it kind of freaked me out a bit for some reason, lol.

I don't really have a choice to not go back to work. I work for a Goverment Contractor and they didn't renew our contract so this is my last week. I must finish everything up!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
