New design issue

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I like the new design but have one small issues. On the top of the page where there are three different colored toolbars. The third one which is a light pink that starts off with "You are here" the pink is too light and makes it hard to read anything in that toolbar.

Thanks

I am glad you like it. I hate it. I find it really difficult to navigate around and it's even more difficult

to reply to a post.

I am probably going to be spending a lot more time over at OH.

The old format was perfect so I don't know why it needed to be changed.

The chat room is going to die because all the regular chatters hate the

new chat room.

I noticed this as well. We're going to update it shortly so it's more readable.

Give it a few days. Personally I think the navigation is a lot better. We're planning to add quite a few features to the site and we couldn't do it with our old platform.

We're going to make changes to the chat based on your feedback. The previous chat software was too server intensive and causing too many issues.

Okay, Alex , you know I trust you! The problems we don't like in the chat room are we liked being able to chat in different colors. It makes it easier to see each person's last addition to the conversation. We also liked being able to choose our own font for that same reason.

The chat screen is just too small. Sometimes it gets very full in there. I also liked being able to stop the scrolling when the screen is moving really fast.

Alex, I think the chat room is really important. It's where new people come when they are scared and they can't eat right after surgery, or they are dehydrated and don't know it . They are nauseous so they stop drinking and that makes things worse. They come to the chat room because they are afraid they made changes to their bodies that are permanent . They want reassurance that everything is going to be okay, from people who have been sleeved awhile.

Are these things that you'll be able to change?

We definitely will be able to modify the chat room to our members liking. Keep the feedback coming and we'll try our best to accommodate everyone as much as possible.

Thank you Alex. I know you work very hard to make VST the best site around and we really do appreciate it. Getting a sleeve is pretty scary to most people and being able to come here learn and share is so valuable. People learn more here than they do sometimes from their own doctors and they say so all the time. That is thanks to you for all your hard work that you provide VST for us.

I don't like it at all! I find it hard to find anything and everything, I don't know if I'll get used to it, I hope I do cause I would feel lost in this journey without people's stories, thoughts and feedback

I am really getting frustrated. The pages take a really long time to load. All the ads have to load first and you sit and wait for the posts to come up.

I have learned my way around this new site , and I still don't like it. I sure haven't been spending the time I used to spend here before the changes. It's just too frustrating and the posts are so tiny, they are too hard to read.

I do believe you can change the font sizes through your web browser setting too. Just a thought - at least until things get tweaked here and there.

On Firefox and on Internet Explorer.

I can't help but think the colors are too feminine, and I'm a female

they look like bruising colors to me.... or someting from a hospital remodeled in the 1980's. In color theory these colors are called "broken" colors... not pure colors..but broken with a little contrasting color to make them neutral and dull.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
