September 13, 201015 yr It doesn't matter what I eat I dump. I know it's rare but can happen with VSG. Has anyone had this and it eventually go away? Thanks
September 13, 201015 yr Hey you ARE still here, I knew we were to precious to leave! I had a few instances of it a week and half ago, it seems to have stopped.
September 13, 201015 yr If you still have your gallbladder, you might want to have it checked. If you don't, it could be the transit time issue that usually resolves over the next few weeks. I've never heard of dumping on everything someone eats. There might be an underlying issue causing dumping symptoms. You can try Probiotics to see if it'll help with the diarrhea and "gut issues".
September 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the answer Tiff. I think I'll try some Align or eat more yogurt, between moving and dealing with healing I didn't even think about that. MP- I've made a few good friends on here actually even though most people don't understand where I am coming from. The reality is this surgery doesn't exactly come with an owner's manual and who better to ask than someone else who had the same surgery? If you don't want to deal with me, it's easy, don't read my posts and certainly don't reply. Thanks again Tiff.
September 13, 201015 yr I don't really understand dumping but I don't think I've ever experienced anything like that.
September 13, 201015 yr Author I think part of the problem is just going so long on liquids and then trying to eat mushies. It's probably a shock to the system. I am going to try eating more yogurt and perhaps some probioitics like Tiff suggested. I know Align is a popular choice.
September 13, 201015 yr I had chronic daily diarrhea for about the first 3-4 weeks after surgery- then it just stopped.

I am sorry you can't see past the chip on your shoulder and understand that I was making the situation light and joking about how wonderful we were here. That said, I will be more then happy to put you on ignore.
September 14, 201015 yr Author I did fine during the phase my doctor had me on liquids and then full liquids. Now that I am on mushies, it doesn't matter what I eat. I get what feels like labor pains and then I have to RUN to the bathroom to make it in time.

That said, I will be more then happy to put you on ignore. Even I will apologize for that, but Humor is very difficult to see online. It's one of the pittfalls of both the English language's need to have emotion set with it and the lack of some personalization on a forum.
September 14, 201015 yr I learned from another post-op patient that constant vomiting may be a sign of stricture. What's your doc say?
September 14, 201015 yr Sounds fun. I am still on liquids so I guess I will have to wait and see what happens.
September 14, 201015 yr Carrie, do you think it just might take your body time to adjust to eating more "normal" foods and not so much liquids? Didn't you say you've pretty much been on liquids for quite some time? I've read others who have said they've experienced diarrhea early out but then it went away .
September 14, 201015 yr I thought "dumping" was the sensation when you eat high fat/sugar and get the racing heart, etc. Are you just talking about diarrhea?
