Chicken/egg/tuna salad

Make sure you're measuring your portions, and chew, chew, chew.

Nausea sucks, and makes you feel horrible and not want to eat. Are you getting in enough fluids?

Have you been able to identify if it's certain foods that make you sick, or is it everything? Are you vomitting or just nauseated?

I'm not vomiting just nauseated. I don't think I'm getting enough Water its hard when it wants to come back up. I just keep sipping. I will try those things. I have not been measuring so far I only get about 1-2- bites down.

By the way you look great.

Sometimes, once we move off full liquids, and onto mushies, we're not getting as much Fluid from the foods like puddings, jellos, yogurts etc. If you can puree your food with an immersion blender, mini food processor or mush it with a food really well, that may help. I added 2Tbsp of miracle whip for every 2ounces of chicken or tuna, that made it moist, and I chewed, chewed, and it helped things go down.

Mild dehydration can cause some nausea also.

Thank you for the sweet comments. Just hang in there, and if you have to stick with full liquids for a couple of extra days, you'll be okay. Don't push your tummy, it'll tell you when it's ready. Maybe try 1 meal a day with soft solids, and the other 2-3 meals (whatever your program calls for) stick to more thick liquid stuff.

I promise it gets easier.

Tildab, I also had alot of nausea after my surgery, it got soooo bad I was regretting my choice. For me, I finally realized that it was from crushing my medication and the chewable vitamins I was taking. I am not exactly sure why they bothered my stomach, but to swallow my medications whole, or to take regular Vitamins (not chewable) doesn't bother me at all! Once I stopped those everything started looking up for me, and now I love my sleeve!! Hope this helps and I hope you start feeling better soon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
