Guest Stephanie

I have the same question. Dr. Nick will be doing my surgery in June.

Some do, some don't. My doc doesn't use one routinely, but I woke up with one, which was in for a week (until I saw him again). It was not a big deal at ALL... didn't hurt, just kind of bulky and lumpy under clothes. When he took it out I literally did not feel a THING... didn't even realize he'd removed it until I saw it in his hand. If you have one, it's nothing to worry about, I promise! :)

They are annoying. LOL The one with vsg was removed before I flew home, so at about 2.5 days. There was pressure when the tube was removed but it was doable. The drain I had with my Tummy Tuck was in for a week I think. Really got tired of emptying it. There may be clots in your drain bulb. That is normal, don't worry if you see them. It can be a little gross when you empty it; the nurse will do it for you if you ask.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
