9 month post update with AW photos

Tomorrow marks my 9 month post-op from band to sleeve.

What I've learned:

I can eat like a naturally thin person.

I can enjoy exercise and social activities without obesity holding me back.

I loved myself before, but now I actually like myself.

I have recognized my triggers, and weaknesses.

food is fuel, not comfort.

And most importantly, none of the physical changes outweigh how much healthier I am emotionally.

Now for a little attention whoring! ! !

Before 270 pounds size 22/24W

Afters 130 pounds size 6

I could never wear hooker boots because my calves were so huge, and I refused to buy ones that were cheap fake leather with elastic stretchy material to accommodate my fattness.

If you are considering the sleeve, research YES, but do not doubt that you can be successful. If I can do it, any one of you can do it. I absolutely love my sleeve, and that life that it affords me each day. Are there some struggles, yes, but the victories far outweigh the little speed bumps along the way.

YES, I know I need to tan.

Thank you all so very much. I honestly believe this is the 3rd best thing to ever happen to me. Obviously the kiddo and husband take priority, but this is something I did for myself and my future health.

I have zero doubts that this was the best decision. I would do it all over again, complications and all, I would do it again without hesitation.

Thank you all for sharing this journey with me. I absolutely love the sleeve and believe it is an extraordinary tool that saved me a lifetime of health hardships.

Tiff,

I noticed that even in your "fat" photos, you look like such a lively, jovial and happy person. That is beautiful to see...

Now as I lose weight and gradually become more happy with how I look I have been thinking about how different people look at me now than when I was fat. (I am still obese, but at the lower edge of that BMI classification, and I don't "feel" fat any more. ) I have become aware of my own feelings about obese people that I see now, compared to how I felt when I was obese myself. It is an interesting dynamic to ponder. I wish I were a multi billionare and could offer to pay for free VSG's to every obese person who wanted one...it is such a life changing gift.

Congratulation Tiff you look great!!! I too miss wearing boots so I plan to lose so this winter I will have a great pair of boots!!

Congratulations on your many successes! You are truly radiant.... and yes hooker boots are fun, looking forward to mine later. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me and so many others.
