How close to goal when revised?

Recommended Posts

How close where you to goal when you got your revision? :confused1:How many months did it take you to get to goal? :confused1:Any issues with maintaining? :scared0:

I am so close to my revision! Complete unfill on Monday. Got my $ set aside. My passport card is in my wallet. Thank you all for the information and support thus far.:biggrin0:

I was 113 pounds from my goal weight the day of my revision. I hit goal in about 6.5 months, and yes, I'm having issues maintaining.

But, I am still within a normal weight range, and BMI. I am holding steady at 130-131 for the last few days. The gallbladder removal threw my body for a loop so I'm trying to get back to normal.

I can technically lose another 11 pounds and be in a normal weight range for my height. But, I have zero desire to be that small. I am perfectly content at my current weight, and size.

I was 40/lbs from goal when I had my revision in January. I've lost 18/lbs more, so I'm now 22/lbs from goal. I just went through my closet today and tried on a bunch of capris and shirts for spring. Most of them are going to the donation pile (Yeah!!!). I've lost 3 inches from my waist so they are just falling off me now.

My husband thinks I look great at this weight, but the doc wants me to lose that extra 20/lbs. During that first month of mostly liquids you'll drop a good amount. Just be sure to get your Protein in so you don't lose too much muscle!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
