Tanners - further to that tanning thread

Recommended Posts

I had a Magic Tan yesterday. Wow, its brilliant. Takes literally 20 seconds, you towell off so its not sticky, you can get dressed again right away - including putting on a bra, no standing while someone sprays you, its totally private and there's NO smell at all.

The colour is instant, but light, then it develops over the next 5 hours or so and the bronzer washes off after your first shower. I'm golden brown ALL over today. I was really impressed because I hate fake tan sprays and lotions.

I've got no streaks or runs at all, no white areas, my nails and palms didnt stain at all. Really worth a try if you like a tan but are afraid of the ageing sunbeds cause.

I wish I could afford it weekly, but it was $40, sigh.

Cool... I'm a fan of my pasty white skin, but I'd give it a try, just to see.

Perhaps when I have no rolls or creases that would miss out on the spraying!

Ah, yeah. I only really crease when I sit down, lol. Under my boobs got brown though, no idea how.

Kellie I got it done at the local Sunlounge. If you google Magic Tan and click Australian search you'll find locations. There's a fair few around. I've had an ordinary spray tan at Body Bronze before and that was pretty darn good too.

I swear I would die from embarassment if I had to stand and let someone study my naked body - every inch of it. Good lord. I'd be so humuliated and mortified. I just don't think I could bring myself to do it.

Jacqui,

Where did you have it done, was it somewhere that is Australia wide?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
