Revision Surgery on August 31st

Recommended Posts

Well I went and talked to my surgeon with my husband. On our way there I was thinking I would just take the band out because I was too scared to do the Sleeve. Once we talked to my surgeon I am very excited about the sleeve revision and can not wait. I have confidence in my surgeon, and I know he will do right by me. He has done revisions, he did not give me a number, but he has not had any leakage problems, which made me really happy. Well I have to start my diet ASAP so that should be fun, but I do not want to screw this up in anyway so I need to do this!

I am sure you will be fine and that your surgeon will do right by you. Mine was exactly the same - he was confident and I had confidence in him that he would do what was right for me and as far as I am concerned he did!

Good luck xxx

Janette, I assure you, you will not regret revising from the band to the sleeve. It is the best thing that ever happened to me and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to revise. The difference is like night and day. I am not dissing the band, for many, many people it works wonderfully. But, there are those of us who have nothing but problems with it and it completely ruins our quality of life as a result. Once you get the sleeve, you will be amazed at just how much the band occupied your thoughts and choices. Best of luck to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
