Howdy everyone! I am doing well and have lost another 3 pounds. I think I am the slowest loser ever! I have a question for those who know....I am not losing pounds/weight but I am losing inches. I don't exercise if I can help it and still, I've dropped another dress size. How is this possible? I am now at 147 pounds and want to get to 140. I had my first consultation with a Plastic Surgeon and he also wants me to lose the last few pounds before doing the Tummy Tuck and boob lift. At my weight lose rate, it'll be next year before I lose those 7 pounds. :phanvan

Hey guys! Since the end of the month is approaching, and that'll be the last 6 month anniversaries for us March Bandsters, I just thought i'd check and see how you all are doing.

Did you have a personal goal that you wanted to make by the 6 month point? Did you make it?

Friday will be my official 6 month Bandiversary, but I weigh in on Wed. My personal goal, which I set when I was first banded, was to be down 65 lbs by 6 months. That worked out to about 2 lbs a week (plus my pre-op diet loss). And I'm happy to annouce I've actually made it. (I know my ticker says 63, but I peeked a few days ago!)

I didn't make my 3 month goal, but I got my long overdue 2nd fill about 6 weeks ago, and have lost ALOT since then. It's the only reason I have actually made my goal this time around.

My secret goal is to get down to at least 200 (for a total of 84 lbs gone) by Christmas, when I'll be going home. That's about 12 weeks away, and I've got, say... 15 lbs to go! I hope I can do it!

How 'bout everyone else?

GREAT JOB Argon....love reaching goals...in the past I gave up on setting them since I seemed to fail but now...it's getting exciting!!!! :)

I set a 50lb goal by 3mos....made that one. Then I said I'd like to hit 100lbs by the end of the year which would be 9mos.....well I am at 88lbs in 6mos....now I would like to hurry up and reach that 100lb mark and go for about 120lbs by the end of the year!! I have gotten sluggish on the exercise I admit... we are getting a new house this week and hoping that kills my excuses once I am moved in!!!!

Keep up the GREAT work March Bandsters!!!

God Bless,

Melody

well, i did not really set goals for six months, 12 months etc. but i am down 23 lbs, currently i am at 184, and i am thrilled about it! i was on a june 1-sept 20 virtual plateau when i got this last fill. now i am losing again. 19 more lbs puts me at 165, which is still big for me, as i am 5'1", but that is the weight that i said i would be content with if that is all the band allowed me to lose.

I weighed in yesterday... exactly 6 months from the date of my surgery and I am down 54 pounds. Today, I went out and finally bought some new slacks and a few tops... down from a 4X top to a 2X. Congratulations to everyone on their success.

It does feel good, Vegas. I am still not at a very good restriction level but I hope to remedy that when I return to the surgeon on 10/18 for another fill. My Iron levels were rock bottom and I'm now 50% done with weekly iron intravenous infusions. I think that's helping my energy levels.

Hello everyone! I haven't posted in a while. I am only 5 pounds away from earning my boob-lift and tummy-tuck! I went ahead and scheduled my surgery for the middle of November. I'll dehydrate and starve if I have to in order to weigh in at 140lb. on surgery day! My final goal is 130 but I swear, my boobs and extra alien tummy probably weigh 5-7 pounds if not more. How is everyone else doing?

Oct. 06 and I'm down to 144! Only 4 pounds to go to get my boobs lifted and the belly tuck! I'm so excited! I am wearing a size 10 in pants now and can fit in 8's except for the alien mass attached to my front mid-section. Yeah for me!

I know I'm tooting my own horn here but I can't help it! I'm so excited!

Oh, I forgot to add that I've changed my goal weight from 140 to 130. No telling how much flesh will come off during surgery. Who knows, maybe I'll be fortunate enough to lower it yet again to 120! I used to be 120 almost 20 years ago. Cool!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
