I am one week post op and starving to death, okay not really but I sure feel like it. I can't take anymore broths and getting very tired of SF pudding. What else is there?

Can you have yogurt on full liquids? I found SF popsicles to really hit the spot because CHEWING is involved!

Also, sf Jello and for the same reason.

Isopure (over ice is great), yogurt without fruit, all kinds of Soup broths (homemade are the best) try my lentil soup recipe in the recipe section here.

I added applesauce in the second week as well as nibbled on Baby Bel low fat cheese until it was liquid in my mouth. Actually Cornell Weight Loss center has bariatric clears only while their sleeve patients are in the hospital and they go home with a diet of soft and pureed foods. So I had a copy of that and incorporated some of their suggestions into my diet after the second week at home.

Hope this helps,

How many days has it been now for you? I have to start my pre-op diet on Tuesday...ugh! My doctor said that I could have all of the above plus fat free cottage cheese and raw vegetables! So I am going to be nibling on carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes with salt, and lemons with salt...mmmm! I know it's not much but atleast it's something to crunch on, and my doctor said salt and pepper is fine, along with any other kind of spice you can think of. I hope it hits that hunger spot for you...good luck! Oh yeah V8 juice is ok too, and might be a little filling!

Since Stoongal referenced Cornell Weight Loss Center...I thought I would look up what they had to say. Again....please follow YOUR surgeon's post-op orders but if variance is allowed, Cornell has a nice plan. Very helpful ideas, food logs, etc.

Here is the link: Enjoy!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
