Sleeve Restriction

Recommended Posts

Ok, sleeved ladies, I have a question. Do you find you have more restriction at that time of the month? I read people with the band experience it but I would swear I am experiencing it now. I'm 2 months post-op today so I suppose it could still be the healing process. Am I nuts or are others finding the same thing?

I don't know, since my original banding that TOM hardly ever happens anymore.

Not... that I am complaining!

First of all, I am older than WASA and it's not fair that your TOM hardly happens. LOL. My TOM of the month came to an end this AM and the restriction seems a tad less. I'm going to see if others experience this and watch for posts.

Yes, yes and yes! I had the same thing with the band... I also become easily nauseated, so I have to be super careful what I choose to eat.

I haven't particularly noticed anything different... and I'm annoyed that I'm still getting TOM too. I'm too old for this shite to quote a famous movie character.

I really thought that after I was done losing weight that TOM would be back in full force. Not so. TOM has happened maybe every 5 months or so? I'm okay with it. ;o) (Looking to Mother Nature and kneeling before her - thanking her.)

Thank you! I thought I was going nuts. LOL. As for the nausea, that happens if I "take one more taste" after "full" has registered. I had a thin chicken cutlet for dinner and got through 2/3's of it. There were maybe 4 bites left but I am fighting the "clean your plate" mentality and tossed them instead.

I am trying to get away from the "clean your plate" mentality too and I think I am making progress but still can not say that I toss out any portion of my skinny cow ice cream bars. I hope that changes with my sleeve... GEEZ WHAT AM I SAYING DAHHHHH

Fighting that clean your plate mentality is not as easy as it sounds.

I would rather have my TOM than all the horrid things that came with menopause.

It came, it left and it was never a bother.

Things that melt in your mouth slide right on down so you'll still be able to eat it all.

My TOM is a pain. I even get cramps now. I would ovulate maybe 4x a year before I had my second kid. Now I'm regular as clockwork and I'm really late getting into menopause. I hate it!

I'm afraid to make fun of you guys too much in fear it will jinx me. ;o)

My Mom went through Menopause in her early 40s. After she went through Menopause she grew big boobs. It's about the only aspect of my Mom I hope she passed onto me. ;o)

Right now I am freaking out because when I left for Arizona I only brought enough hormones to last a week and I am staying another week since my dad fell and broke his hip. I don't want to be without my hormones! I didn't have that problem when good old TOM came around.

I have very very light TOM now with the IUD, like hardly there light! I sooooo don't want that to get screwed with, its the reason I had to get it in the first place!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
