Newbie question...what does the band feel like?

Recommended Posts

Okay so I'm hoping to get insurance approval to be banded in early December and I literally had a dream last night that I was banded and was waiting to feel the sensation of 'tight' or 'restriction ' that so many Bandsters talk about. After surgery will my actual stomach feel any different? Or will it just be after my 1st fill and when I'm eating. I know this question may sound silly but I am getting excited and eager to really see/feel how my life will be different.

Mis is right - you shouldn't feel your band at all if everything is well. Sometimes, during a stuck episode, I feel like a glob of something is stuck in my throat. But most of the time, I just feel full after just a little bit of food and have no desire to continue eating. It's pretty awesome!

Lol okay thanks everyone! Your answers make me feel good. I have a phenomenal surgeon (Dr Brett Cohen) in Hollywood Florida. I've met patients that say he has a 'healing hand'. Getting more excited everyday. Thankful to have friends in this online community who can give me their thoughts and opinions in record time. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
