Aspartame

Mio sweet tea is my favorite! Not sure what's in it but since using it I have doubled my Water intake... so it works for me!

I have also served it to friends, HA, and not one person has caught on that it is not real sweet tea.

Trick: I keep a bottle in my purse and while out at a restaurant I will order unsweet tea then squirt some Mio into my glass.. um um good!

I second the MIO. I have MIO everyday and have tried several different flavors. The sweet tea and peach tea are the best in my opinion and the Green Thunder taste great while giving you that little extra. I kicked energy drinks and started using the MIO energy. They actually seem to provide more boost.

drink crystal light 24/7.....only side effect is my little short

legs heading to the potty all the time.... :)

You would really be in heaven if they would only come put with beer flavored crystal light.

I too drink alot of crystal light, but I am not a fan of the aftertaste of aspertame, and it can sometimes lead to heartburn for me. I have recently found that there are a handful of flavours made with splenda, so i keep my eye out for those.

I really like truvia I got use to it in my tea.

I really like Truvia as well - I prefer it over the other sweeteners and if I'm not mistaking it's all natural.

I believe so. I was told by my PCP that I really should only use stevia or truvia... Anything with via at the end lol.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
