Head aches any one?

Recommended Posts

the last few days I've gotten killer headaches.. i know it's most likely tied to the pre-op diet.. but i'm wondering will these continue on into the post - op one too? or can i expect relief as my body adjusts?

My headaches are dehydration as well. Could you possibly be having caffeine withdrawals? Those can be rough also.

For me, coming off caffeine causes killer headaches. I call them "loose brain" headaches because it feels as though my brain has broken loose and is sloshing in my head. They last about 3 days and the withdrawls are over. Hope you feel better soon.

I get headaches when I dehydrate, go off caffeine, or believe it or not, actually from caffeine. Sometimes it's hard to find what external factors trigger your headaches if there are any to find.

I get headaches when I dehydrate, go off caffeine, or believe it or not, actually from caffeine. Sometimes it's hard to find what external factors trigger your headaches if there are any to find.

And then there are the Migraines I get from out of nowhere, the sinus headaches, and the beer triggered headaches. (I am maintaining, so I allow myself beer). I'd get less headaches if I didn't tho.

Most likely it's a mixture of all of the above apart from the beer... :( i switched shakes also to one with an even lower carb well actually Zero carbs so i'm sure my body was in total shock.. and living in AZ it's very hard to stay hydrated. though if i where to give up my coffee... i'm not sure i'd be safe to be around it's my only indulgence and even that i changed to be as healthy as possible drinking only organic coffee with silk milk and organic stevia..

I get headaches after I drink alcohol from the dehydration. When drinking it's a good idea to follow the old 1-1 rule of one glass of Water for every alcholic drink you consume. I was getting headaches every single day in the back of my neck and it turned out that the caffeine in the coffee i was drinking was the culprit. I switched to Decaf and never had problems again. If you're getting headaches in the back of your head they may be caused from constricting blood vessels.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
