Hey guys !! Ok, so let me say I'm not lonely , I do have friends , however they do not know what I'm going thru and aren't understanding my struggles !! I guess I'm looking for someone who can be on the same boat as me ! Sounds weird? Well let me introduce myself , I'm Lissette and I'm 23 years old, and got banded on April 15. I'm struggling and have very little motivation ! I've lost 23lbs so far, and dieting sucks lol !!! Hopefully someone out there needs a little push, since I myself need it too !!

Hey congratulations on your weight loss. I am Brittany 25 years old and was banded June 27. I have lost 20 lbs so far and I am also needing a buddy that can relate to what I am going through. There are many days when I struggle and some when I am energized and ready to take on the world.

Hello all. I'm Brittani as well just with an i on the end instead of y. I am 25 yrs old and I just had my surgery July 30. And with pre-op diet and surgery I have lost a total of 22 lbs.

I also have days where I question oh my gosh should I of done this? And it was a mistake. It will just take time to get use to this new journey. I mean because when I got bored I ate when I was sad happy or mad I ate..I mean food controlled our lives. And I feel like when I'm done eating I have this so called "food devil" in my ear going psttt u know u want more. The doctor I go to they have a support group on Facebook and I met a girl and I was telling her and she said once you get your first fill and get in the groove you will be fine. Because tonight I was beating myself up bc I felt like I ate more then I should have but it's bc all that swelling is down and my band isn't filled so therefore my brain is saying eat you damn fool! But when in reality the doctors do it this way so you can get in the habits of what your suppose to do when the band does get filled. And since mine isn't filled I still want to refer back to my old ways. This is definitely a roller coaster ride

Remember why you did this and post it everywhere. You could stall weight loss for a month and still be ok so just follow the doctors instructions and know it gets better

Hey all my name is Steph and I'm 21y.o I was banded August 12 so I'm only 5 days post-op I need a lot of support I cheated today with chips I didn't want them I just missed the crunchyness of them. This is not my first time cheating during this process but I'm here to say it will be my last time after I ate maybe 10 chips I through them out and made me a Protein shake! I think I would do better if I had more people who understand where I'm coming from.

I think I know where ur coming from. I'm two weeks out of surgery and I'm on my regular food diet and then yesterday I felt bad bc I wanted cheese stick from papa johns and I ate six of them and I had a friend who had this surgery and she said I don't have a fill so I want to eat like I did before my surgery. But they want u to instill the good habits before the fill and I was beating myself up and hope I didn't mess anything up. And I'm just trying to be good and know that once I get a fill I won't eat like this and for the most part I am doing what I'm told unlike last night...

Yes I believe that is the overall goal of the lapband tool but it's hard as hell to change! I'm just afraid I'll fail or worse have complications!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
