Feeling fustrated...

Recommended Posts

I thought I was in the green zone and I didn't get a fill for 3 months. I'm 15 months banded. Then I found that I could eat a little more and was getting hungry in between meals. So I went in May on my 1 yr. and had a a little fill. I was feeling fine a lil tight but not to bad. Now the past 3 weeks I can hardly eat. I don't ever vomit but I do that slimming thing (nasty) and I hurt. I can hardly get my Protein in but I weighed today and I have gained 3 lbs. I'm scared to get any taken out but I can't stand not eating or hardly being able to drink my Protein Shakes. I usually can't eat or drink anything before 2 pm except Water. I need advice...

Talk to your doc but it sounds like you're a little tight.

It's sounds like you need a tiny defill... maybe .25 cc. I have a friend my lapband coffee group who had a similar situation and she had a tiny defill.. made a big difference and she is back on track and is now losing and able to eat with no issues.

My body is hyper sensitive to fills. I cannot get anything more than .25 at a time or I will be so tight that I can't even get saliva down. Go to the doc and have your fill taken out then go gradual from there on out. Good luck!

Thursday I had .25 put in my band. All weekend I have not been able to keep anything down. I called the doc this morning but they are closed. I am trying to drink my Protein Shake but its going down so slow. :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
