if you have never or RARELY PB or slime? After reading all the blogs, I'm a bit worried about that. I am not down with vomiting or spitting up food. The slime sounds horrible. But I see it happening to people who say they are eating correctly. Who HASN"T had a problem with this, and what do you attribute your personal success of not having these complications?

I've only PB'd once since I was banded 18 months ago. I think I've slimed maybe a half dozen times.

I believe I haven't had those problems because I take small bites, I chew thoroughly, and I don't walk around with my band too tight.

I think I've pb'd maybe 2 times (after RFID was stuck) and had food stuck maybe 4. All were from eating too fast and too big of bites. You learn quickly! I've never had a problem in a public place (which was a big fear of mine!). Knock wood on that. Remember to always, always take care on the first bite of anything.

i am liike missy (somewhat)

13 months post op, not ever stuck, no slime, no pb'ing.....no issues what so ever--my dr/nutritionist advised me to eat small bites, go slow, chew well and relax...i was too scared to test the waters so took their advice and just did what i knew i had to do...sure i took some larger bites and it kinda was uncomfortable...you do that once or twice and you wont want to have it happen again..just take your time..

I have slimed a handful of times and been stuck maybe twice. Its all about learning to listen to your body. Like everyone else has said already, its all about eating slowly, chewing well and taking small bites. I have also learned that I need to take a long break after my first few bites or I will start to feel the pain that I am about to get stuck. If I take a few moments, and wait for that sensation to go away, I can then continue with my meal without any issues.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
