Does anyone use MyNetDiary?

Recommended Posts

I have been using MyFitnessPal for about a month now. I'm not disappointed with it really, but it bothers me that I can't set my daily Protein and carb levels. It also tells me everyday that I'm not eating enough. I know I can ignore that statement, but it's quite annoying and I feel like the app is scolding me. Lol! Does anyone use MyNetDiary? It looks like I can adjust my carb and protein levels as well as my calories. The app is $10, but it also looks like I can use it online for free. Any thoughts? Experience with both?

You can change your calories, Protein, etc. on MFP. Go to the "my home" tab and choose "goals". At the bottom click on "change goals". It will probably continue to scold you and say you are eating too few calories. I just ignore it.

I've use MFP for a while now and have had the same issue. I wish there was a way to customize it more to each person. I have not used the app you are talking about but what I have been doing is just the old fashioned way, writing it down. SO MUCH WORK! hahaha I wish someone savvy with computers would make an app just for people that have had WLS so it would work only for us. One day! Let us know if you get it and how it works! X

Thank you so much! At least now one of my problems is solved :-) it may be easier to ignore the scolding now that I have it set to track what I want tracked :-)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
