Well I knew it would happen eventually. After a spectacular weight loss, I've finally stalled. For the last three weeks I've been up and down a couple of pounds but can't seem to move the scale even though I've not changed my food intake or eating habits. I've been a little tempted to lower my calorie intake but I'm already at or around 1,000 calories a day and I don't think fewer calories will make a difference. Plus I eat healthy so it's not like I'd cut out any bad food choices.

So...while this bit of a plateau is a little disappointing, I have to remember I've already dropped 67 pounds since January 1st and have to just power through this. I'm glad I'll be away for a few days next week and won't be focusing on the scale.< /p>

Have you read the posts in the nutrition section about carb cycling? There are a lot of people that tried it when they stalled and it worked. I think you can just search carb cycling and find it. Congrats on the great weight loss!

You could try changing things up a bit to try and break your plateau. For some people that means slightly increasing the number of calories, introducing a new exercise, do a little more or little less. The idea is to jolt your body out of its management of what you are currently doing.

Good luck.

I'm good just trying to keep working on this path - I'm on. Have you thought of maybe switching you food around, maybe this will schock your body and help you move away from the plateau you are on.

yeah...I'm a diet veteran like most of us on this journey. If the scale doesn't start moving down soon, I'll look to change it up a bit and see if that helps. I just wish I could exercise....the knee is worse than ever and I'm going for an MRI next week to see just how bad it is. Knee replacement may come sooner than later....

I am in the same pedictiment. I have been at the same 65 pounds lost for almost 3 months now. I tried to change up the exercise routine and managed to hurt my knee 3 weeks ago in the process. Had an MRI today and go over results Monday. Ready to get off light weigh bearing and get my workouts started again.

Good luck! You've come so far, just keep moving forward

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
