I have been hearing a lot about this Greek yogurt...creamy like sour cream taste (yummmmmmmy) But I can't find it! I live in La. anyone know where I can get it? its made by a company called Fage. Any help would be appreciated.

I just realized I didn't say what its called 'Total Yogurt' Comes with different levels of fat...anyone tasted it?

I LOVE this stuff! I can find it in almost every supermarket, but I generally buy it at Trader Joe's where it's cheaper. I get the 0% fat and sweeten it with a teaspoon of preserves. That way I can have whatever flavor I want, and limit the sweetness to the point I like.

It's thick and dense, and really filling. I can't say enough good things about it!

Alexandra, what supermarkets are you seeing them in? We don't have a Trader Joes, here are the ones in our area: Kroger, Albertsons, Market Basket...

I live in Athens Greece and so this yoghurt is everywhere...not much help I know!;) Only problem for me is that I can't stand the stuff :phanvan The Greeks eat it with honey drizzled in the middle - not good for us anyway- but I just don't like the texture of it. Total is one of the better brands, some of them here are even thicker than that!

I just wanted to say thanks for posting about this Greek yogurt! I found some at Trader Joe's and it is AWESOME! Not to mention it doesn't have a bunch of chemicals in it. I had Greek yogurt with strawberries, a little bit of granola, and some splenda. Honestly, it was SO GOOD!

East Coast tastes may be different, I guess. I've seen it at A & P, Shop Rite, Pathmark, any of the big ones around here carry it.

You probably wont find it in your normal chain stores, but definately the health food stores. There's also an italian one that comes in glass jars that has that sour taste (but it might be whole fat). I like the total yogurt with the honey, but that naturally defeats the purpose, lol. It's too tart for me by itself, but maybe I'll try it with some splenda like someone suggested. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
