I went into the bathroom for a sit down yesterday. there was paper in the Water so i flushed. do to urgency, i dropped my pants, spun arround and sat down, just in time for the toilet to overflow into my underwear and pants...thankfully i'm a guy and had a slight warning before a massive flood entered my pants....disgusting!

I really hated that!

Turned 40 on Saturday things are going down fast....

the sad thing is that you gotta tell someone....just gotta. however, you can't say anything at work! luckily, i was on my way out the door! nobody said anything today about me walking across the parking lot with a big wet spot across my butt either. looks like i got away with it. i think i used a half a bar of soap when i got home.

UGH! You have to work after that incident? I will certainly be VERY suspicious of paper in the toilet before I decide to flush and go about my business before it refills. LOL. I hope the rest of the week goes better for you.

it could happen to anyone...but it was me. it was my own fault...too much of a hurry. BUT ALL THERE WAS WAS PAPER!

BEWARE: auto-flush toilets are out to get us all! we all know they flush for no reason whatsoever. it could happen to you to!

Geesh, sounds like something that would have happened to me. Ya know, most things start to go as we age, but you have to keep your sense of humor. LOL. Hang in there!

OMG that is too funny. I had something like that happen to me not too long ago..

I was out and about, and had to use the bathroom ASAP, so I stopped at a 7-11... and around here at least, you have to ask for a key at the counter. I got the key, went in, and saw the Water in the toilet was a little 'low' looking. Normally I would have flushed it to just make sure, cause I've had many an experience with that before... BUT... I didn't. I went about my business... and flushed. The Water started coming up, and up and up. I trucked it outta there as fast as I could, but I had to drop the key off at the counter first. There was a guy, waiting for the key to the bathroom, and I gave it right to him. I walked out of the store as fast as I possibly could, ran to the car and yelled "DRIVE! DRIVE!" to my boyfriend! As we drove out of the parking lot, I saw the guy come running out of the bathroom. Oh the embarassment. That was 'my' 7-11 too. I haven't been back since. lol

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
