May 22, 201313 yr Mine is coming out in a couple of weeks. It caused a lot of damage to my esophagus which I hope will improve after removal, though there's no guarantee. Why are you removing yours?

June 2, 201313 yr Author No slip its just not agreeing with me. According to manyyyyyyyy people they hate it and are having it removed. I'm excited to not throw up and to finally eat regular again!! My throat was raw for a while... It's finally better!!!! No one else is having issues????
June 2, 201313 yr It's a foreign body. Probably similar to how earrings and stuff reject on some people (not as serious, obviously, but you guys get what I'm saying). Hope you find relief soon.
June 2, 201313 yr I haven't had any issues, but I've heard of many people have. It's definitely not the right solution for every single person. Are you going to revise to the sleeve? Or just take it out and be done with the whole thing?
June 2, 201313 yr Oh boy What size band do you have? is it by any chance the old 4cc? Also, was it EVER good? or was it bad from the start?
June 4, 201313 yr I have an old 4 mm band, and am researching removal and revision to the sleeve. I was banded 5/2005 - I lost 60 pounds relatively easily, bit then started infertility treatments and after two miscarriages and two,successful pregnancies, I am right back where I started. I can't eat foods that are good for me, and I can too easily cheat the band....hoping the sleeve will give me a new shot to get this weight off once and for all!

June 15, 201313 yr I'm having my band removed and converted to the sleeve on 7/10/13. I'm so done with the band and the port and can't wait to get it out.
