Finally getting it removed.... Has anyone else removed their lapband?

No slip its just not agreeing with me. According to manyyyyyyyy people they hate it and are having it removed. I'm excited to not throw up and to finally eat regular again!! My throat was raw for a while... It's finally better!!!! No one else is having issues????

No fluid in it... Been empty for months!!!

I throw up everything I eat... Other then soup or liquids!!! I'm scared I caused damage too!!! I joined 2 groups on FB of ppl who are having the same problems!! :-/ scary

Heyyyy all!!!!! I hope everyone is doing amazing!!!!! I was banded 8/9/12 and I'm only down 15 bc of the band. I'm on medication for my thyroid bc it's slow and it still isn't fully regulated. Why is this weight loss so slow for me? Also....... I throw up a lot!!!! I can't eat protein and carbs or I WILL throw up!! For example.... Turkey on whole wheat.... No bueno!!!!!! Turkey alone... Fine. Toast.... Fine!!!! Ugh so annoying!!!!! Should I call the doctor??

It's been 2 months and I'm down about 27 pounds.... Nothing fits different and I feel the same. Why isn't it working for me?? I have my last visit today!! In past visits they didn't adjust the band. What should I ask them to do?? Pls help... It's really messing me up!! Thanks

Thanks guys.... Idk I thought it was supposed to be faster. I'm heading to the doctor now and I'll mention the fill. I'm happy I'm down... Don't get me wrong I just thought it would have been more. Where do I go to fill out my profile?

Just know its temporary and trust yourself. I got sick and vomited. This is the time to learn what your body can and can't handle.

I had the same problem. The stomach pain stopped me and I had to wait for it to pass.... I was miserable. I stopped the liquids and Protein Shakes earlier than I was supposed to and started mushy food. Foods such as, cottage cheese, soft cheeses, scrambled eggs, etc and the pain went away. My pain was the gas in my stomach and not feeling satisfied with the shakes. Everyone is different and only you will know what your body can handle. Now I eat anything I want and make sure I chew it up very well. I avoid soda and fatty foods. Anything I can chew good enough I'll have but my portions are very small. You'll do great just trust yourself!! :-)

When you get on real food the hunger goes away. I eat or drink every 2 hours... That's just when I get hungry so it works out well...lol. We are still newly banded... Hopefully the weight just falls off!!!

Yes I have both. It was a hard recovery bc liquids of all kind bothered me...lol. Now I'm on soft to solid food and I'm down 17 lbs.

Heyyyy.... I was banded 8/9/12 and weighed 324.5 today 8/13/12 I weight 309.7... Down 15 pounds and thrilled. I love my band and hoping to do better when I can get back to the gym. :-D

Got banded 8/9/12 and today I've been burping a lot. It almost feels like indigestion and is a ill painful. Is this normal??

Thank you so much.... I cant take in that much though. I think I can start the shakes now but I'll never finish an 8 oz drink. Did you have that problem??

Finally the day has come..... Just got the call...Tom at 530 I have to be there. So excited and scared:-)

I had mine removed a long time ago and I'm glad.... The attacks knocked me to the ground. Good luck to you guys... The recovery is nothing... Mostly the gas pain.

That's great..... I go in Aug 9th.... I'm just praying nothing goes wrong from now till then.... That's my anxiety right now...lol. Other nerves with kick in tomorrow when I get the final call..... I hope...lol!!!!

Heyyyy, does anyone have pictures? Before and after and time frames? That always motivates when I see that. I get banded Aug 9 (3 days) and my nerves are shot...lol.
