i was so big at banding that my extra padding prob helped it be easy for me to sleep on my stomach and i am a stomach sleeper....if it twinges, i just adjust...i dont think it would hurt the port itself, you can call and get your dr opinion if you'd like.

Everyone is different, I tossed and turned so I could sleep on my stomach. Well, needless to say I flipped my port and will be having a revision done on May 10th. I was originally banded on Dec. 28, 2012. So it happened between March and April because I went for a fill the beginning of April. I had a very slight fill the beginning of March, my doctor believes in being very conservative with the fills. Anyway, my doctor saw the port protruding way out and it looked like a tiny golf ball sticking out. He tried to manipulate my port with his hands and I screamed it hurt so bad. I have an extremely high tolerance for pain so for me to scream was not normal. So the doctor said he would not fill me until the port was fixed. I feel hungry more than I have in the past and I know I'm eating more than I should. My journey started at 267 lbs. I was down to 223 in early April. I'm praying to God I haven't gained any weight but I am hungry so time will tell when I get revised in May. My doctor did say that nobody is sticking a gun to my head to overeat which is true and I think that holds me back from eating more but I know I'm eating a little more and I start feeling guilty. Anyway I got off the track lol, just be careful when you lay on your stomach. I love laying on my stomach and now I need surgery to repair the port.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
