Century mark is finally here!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi my friends,

Today is the big day. I am down 100 pounds.!!!!!;) ;):)

Got there in 8 months 3 weeks and 5 days! Now I still have at least 54 pounds to go, but that number sounds far less intimidating! I am so overwhelmed that I don't know what to say. My life is dramatically different now. I am no longer afraid of chairs, booths etc.. I can workout for 45 minutes doing cardio without feeling like I'm having a heart attack. My skin is better, no more double chin, no more swelling and I am no longer the biggest person in a restaurant or at a social event. For those just starting the band is the best investment I ever made for myself. Yes, its hard work and you need to do a lot of headwork and make lots of changes, but it is worth it if you stick to the program.

I love my band!!!

Wow! That's such an amazing accomplishment. I'm sure the next 54 pounds will come off too because it sounds like you're willing to walk the walk and use this tool to it's fullest. Congratulations!

Hi Babs

Congratulations! What a wonderful achievement. I am just 2 pounds short of my century mark, so I know how great you must feel. I'll be happy to be celebrating in the next week or two.

Keep it up. The next 54 pounds may be the hardest, or the slowest, but what an accomplishment!

Enjoy!

Mary

Chantal,

I am working on finding a good pic to post on the web. I have a good before pic and I had my husband take a few pics today.

Alexandra: You are almost halfway there yourself, so kudos on your great success.

Mary: You are doing really great. I will be here with a Woohoo for you in a few days!!!!

Thanks for all of the support. You guys are great!!!!

First, CONGRATULATIONS!! I know how difficult it can be, but sooooo worth it!! I had my surgery July 17, 2003, just shortly after yours. And I'm right on track with you with only 3 pounds to go to hit MY "century mark"!! Isn't it a GREAT feeling!?! ;)

Hang in there and let's lose our last "half-century" together!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
