FREAKING FRUSTRATED

Recommended Posts

So I'm 5 months post.. at 32lbs lost.. 20 of those occured during the 2 week pre diet and 2 week post diet.. and 10 dropped last month.. so for 3 months I lost 2 lbs.. and now these past 3 weeks again.. I've lost nothing.. I"m at 6cc on a large band.. I feel that I can't eat very much.. especially in the am.. I eat often.. rarely eat carbs.. and work out approx 5 times a week. Should I get another fill?? I feel that this process should be going a bit better for me... with the amount of effort I put it.. or is it normal to stay the same a bit and then drop?? I do NOT want to fill to the point that I'm ill or always hungry! But I'm ready to hit that 50lb mark at to keep going!! I really thought I'd be there by now :(

The question to ask yourself is: Can you go at least 4 hours on a cup of food without hunger? If no, then you might need a fill. If yes, you likely don't need one.

At any rate, you should have a talk with your doctor and let him help you decide whether you need a fill or not.

As far as losing, do you track your calories? If not, I would. It's the easiest way to be certain you're not accidentally eating too little or too much.

Best wishes.

Chill out! I only lost 12 lbs the first 4 months. 2-4 week plateaus happen to all of us.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
