So I'm almost a month out, had my first fill last Wednesday and I'm not losing!!! Eating exactly what they told me to eat. What am I doing wrong?!?!

You're not necessarily doing anything wrong. You're only a month post op. The first 4-6 weeks are for healing, not losing. Your body has been through a lot and needs time to heal and adjust.

If you're counting calories and measuring your portions, the weight loss will come, just be patient.

If your eating exactly what your suppose to eat why do you think your doing something wrong? Your only a month into the process! Most of us will tell you that is exactly what we experienced! No two people are the same. Don't compare your results to others. Keep doing what your told and follow the rules and you will see results! Patience is very important!!!! The band is definitely not a quick fix! Stay positive and be patient these are words you will learn to live by! Your not doing anything wrong!

Thank you! I guess I just get frustrated! I am doing exactly what I'm told and logging it on my fitness pal too, also just started doing couch to 5K. I'll try to be more patient! Thanks for the help!

so if the scale is not showing a (loss) and you immediately think you are not losing? why is that??

i would like to beg to differ....are your clothes (any) of them looser? do you feel better? are you able to get around better?? have you noticed you look (smaller)??

to me losing inches is a sure sign of losing weight......the scale goes up and down all day long....and what tells the truth is inches lost. .....continue doing exactly what your doctor advised you..eat your allotted amounts, drink alot, exercise and remain patient....you have come this far...give yourself a chance to let the band do its thing. you will get there, promise. and i bet you are doing FANTASTIC..

Yep!!! I'll take loose pants any day over what the scale reflects! I think it's more frustrating when your scale says you lost weight and the pants tell you a different story! Yeh!!! Your losing!!! Good work!

I can totally relate!!! I was banded in January, and did great the first few weeks, and then suddenly it slowed down, or pretty much stopped, and I have been the same weight for the last few weeks. I am putting so much effort into this, and I am getting frustrated that the results arent what I had hoped. But on the flip side, I feel better than I have in years, and this is the most motivated i have ever been to see this through! I know this is a journey, and I need to be patient. Its good to know this is part of the process and Im not alone in experiencing this!

You're not alone!!! I feel great too but, not seeing the scale reflect all my hard work is kind of a bummer! I love my lose pants but I would also love to be well on my way to my goal! We have to keep that motivation up and keep doing our best! I'm sure we can also succeed at this!!! If you need help let me know! We can keep each other motivated!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
