Truvia vs Splenda ?

I'm having oatmeal every morning ... My question is ... Is oatmeal ok ?

My Vitamins are sugar coated (lil creaters) I don't know if they have to much sugar...

The reason I'm asking is because I have been in the 230s for over a month now... Trying to figure out what I need to add or cut out!

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Thanks!

:)

Calories in vs. calories out. What are your calorie totals per meal and per day? what percentage of calories are Protein? The majority should be. And of course, activity - working out, walking, riding a bike. Something, every day.

I'm very active ... As of right now I'm moving so I don't have my treadmill set up yet ... I'm taking in less then 1200 cal a day... It's hard for me to get my Protein in because I'm in a low cholesterol diet ... And my doctor said to stay away from Protein Shakes because they too can make your weight stall ... I try .... I'm eating Beans, lentils yogurt ect...

Fish and chicken are very low in cholesterol. You seem to be eating far too many slider foods and too many carbs. Every food you list has very little Protein and are loaded with carbs. A more balanced approach could enable you to lose more weight. I can't imagine that you feel satisfied with the foods you eat? Do you get hungry often?

If not, good for you? I hope you can lose weight with the diet you've developed but for most of us it would be very difficult. I would suggest adding chicken and fish to your lunch and dinner routines. More vegetables like broccoli, spinach, asparagus, green Beans and other lower carb vegetables. I'm not anti carb, but in my experience a more balanced diet with fewer carbs seems to work better. Oatmeal is OK but again, too many carbs will make you retain fluids and oatmeal seldom provides the satiety you need to be successful.jmo

Learning to eat with this band has been one of the hardest parts of my own journey. It's taken me over a year to get it down right and I still mess up a couple times a week. Give it time, follow the rules as best you can and it will all fall in place.

I know it's frustrating, but plateaus are a very normal part of weight loss. This is especially true the lower down the scale you go.

Honestly, it sounds like you're doing very well. I agree with others that if you can increase your Protein it will probably help.

I don't do the whole low carb thing either, however I have found staying away from processed carbs does help. For instance, if the package says "enriched" or "bleached" or it's white (like on bread or pasta) I stay away from it. I try to use brown rice, whole wheat bread, and whole grain Pasta. I find it's a lot better for me and I lose easier.

Best wishes!

Get lean ground turkey, chicken, or even pork. How about tuna?

I think the bottom line, your diet is too heavy in carbs and way low in Protein. You need to get some good lean meat in your diet.!

Good luck!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
