Fill Question

Recommended Posts

I had a last Friday 2/15 . 5 which took me to 7. I was fine all weekend but then Monday I felt like it may be 2 tight. I did Protein Shakes for 4 days instead of 2 then soft foods for 2 , normal diet now. I have lost 12 lbs since Friday 2/15 . Is it normal to fill to tight not until 2 days after the fill??

Sounds like you are close to the green zone. And thats a good size weight loss. Everytime I get a fill, I usually for 2-3 days or so, go to liquids until I get use to the band in a nw fill state. I'm sure your stomach feels tightness around it and the nerves send messages to our brain. Check with your doctor's office on your question. They are the experts that you are payng.

Best wishes

Also when you first hit that tightness it's weird And foreign so you have to get used to it. You HAVE to take the small bites and chew and sip not gulp. Yes it's normal to adjust different a few days later. If your able to get down all you say you can your prob in the green zone finally. Just take it slow an watch the lbs come off!!! :)))

I will never forget when I hit it after I had been on liquids for a few days and progressed to tuna. Didn't chew it enough and had that first stuck feel. Tried to "wash it down with water". BIG MISTAKE.

That was after my third full. That's why they progress you slow. You have to get used to it and learn how to eat.

I was also doing well with fills until I hit about 6.5cc's.

Was doing great until about a week later then I couldn't keep anything down.

Went back and as soon as she put the needle in an air bubble came out. Well we kindda laughed about it. Went back the next month and she put 1/2 cc in and doing fine now.

Good luck to you

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
